From the Archives

I'd been going through over 150 posts and tagging them when I stumbled on this old jewel. It was written by a very good friend, Jesse Cromwell, who's now working on his Ph.D. in Latin American History at the University of Texas in Austin. This story was written during his days as a Brown man, though. Hands down, Jesse is a far better writer than I am. That said, I present Mr. Cromwell's:

"Getting Lost"

The story details one of our many north Florida roadtrips without a particular destination in mind. These were ritutal outtings we'd take when he'd come home from school for Christmas and summer. Ahh, but the plot twists as we aquire new company; Jesse's girlfriend [now fiance] has come down from New York City to experience one of our minor homebrewed adventures.
